Dad Went Home Today. Jesus said, "If I go away, I will come again for you." And what He said He surely did and will surely do. And so it was no Death Angel that awoke Dad from his sleep It was His nail scarred hand. His promise He did keep. Now dad walks in health on that celestial shore For he has joined the others who have gone before Soon we too will join with him, when Jesus takes us home And we will end our journey, never more to roam. So it is with mixed emotions that we face this day While we tell each other, "Dad has passed away." For where he is now, is better than any he has known As he joins with the singers up around Godıs throne. While tears may fill our eyes and we will surely miss him For we now are no longer able to hold him or to kiss him. For He who loved our father so, also loves us too And He will take us (one by one) to where all things are new! It may be soon or it may be when all of time has come to an end But we know that we will be together with our Heavenly friend. All that we have talked about is the final purpose of God's creation And Dad's little train of life has reached the "Union Station." George R.
