AN EASTER LESSON Now is the time to write a rhyme About the Easter season. Because it's true that I think of you And I know no better reason. Each day we find that life's unkind And there is trouble all around. And it may be that in life's sea Problems do abound. Now may you know while here below That God always thinks of you, So trust in Him when faith grows dim For He will see you through. Remember that on that day when the crowds held sway And they slew His blessed Son, How dark it did seem and no one could dream For it looked like sin had won. Then came Easter morn when people all forlorn Arrived at Joseph's precious tomb The angels asked, "Why" to those who came to cry "Come, see the empty room!" To their dismay, that Easter day They learned a new song When the road seems to end it is only a bend If we keep traveling on. If we trust in God as we travel this sod What ever obstacle stands in our way. For joy will return if we can just learn To look forward to life's "Easter day!" GHVS 3/29/97
